The Bethesda Metro CenterBethesda takes its name from a church located there, the Bethesda Presbyterian Church which was build in 1820 and which took its name from the Aramaic words "Beth Hesda," meaning "house of mercy."

I live and work in the Bethesda area, but I've never seen any of these people. I once thought I saw Wolf Blitzer on the bike path, but it turned out to be Arnold Stillman, a car salesman.
